We are an independent, fundamental Baptist work sent out by Maranatha Baptist Church of St. Robert, Missouri. This work is dedicated to the preservation of God's Word. We believe that the King James 1611 Authorized Version is God's perfect, preserved Word. All English texts are from the King James 1611, and all non-English texts are translated from the Textus Receptus, from which the King James 1611 was derived. Our mission is to get God's Word to as many as possible prior to our Lord's return, which is our "Blessed Hope" promised in 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18.
There is a great deal of confusion regarding "Bearing Precious Seed." It is not one church that is the "founder" or "head." Nor do we have a Baptist "Pope" that governs other churches ministries. Some of our editors and publications have added to the confusion by erroneous statements and advertisements. There are many more sound Baptist printing ministries than the average pastor or missionary realizes. These are usually ministries of the local church.
I feel that by putting forth a web page of this nature that we will be able to coordinate our efforts better, duplicate our work less, and be a better service to our Independent Baptist Churches and Missionaries worldwide. I will appreciate the cooperation of the various ministries in supplying me with updates that can be passed on to you. Read more...
This work is dedicated first and foremost to the Lord Jesus Christ, and then to the faithful, tireless vision of William Byers, and his wife Ginny. [Note: to view, make sure to turn on [allow] popup windows in your browser settings.]
Brother Byers has gone on to be with the Lord, but he was a blessing to many, as is his wife Ginny, for their work's sake with Bearing Precious Seed. Even to the very end of this life, being confined to a hospital bed, Brother Byers kept a clear vision to see a worldwide, Bible-printing ministry that was true to Textus Receptus and the preserved King James 1611 Bible. He then passed that vision and labour of love to Brother Sam Martin, who now is serving the Lord in the ministry of Bearing Precious Seed.
